University of Iowa
2003-2004 — went 8-5 at 149 and 157 pounds… recorded two major decisions and a technical fall… competed at Kaufman-Brand Open, Northern Iowa Open, and Midlands Championships… letterwinner.
2002-2003 — Competed as a varsity starter while trying to manage a major injury that occurred early in the season having torn the ACL in the left knee (ACL  Surgery was performed following the 2002/03 wrestling season). Compiled a season record was 6-16, going 1-13 in dual matches and 1-6 in Big Ten duals at 165 pounds… scored three team points in dual competition… placed fourth at Spartan Open and sixth at Central Missouri State Open… recorded one pin in 4:15 on the season… letter winner.
2001-2002 — compiled a 3-6 collegiate record, going 4-6 overall at 157 and 165 pounds… was 2-2 at 157 and 1-4 at 165… was 1-2 in dual and Big Ten dual competition, scoring three team points… recorded one pin… letter winner.
2000-2001 — redshirted… compiled a 10-6 record while wrestling unattached at 149 pounds… placed fourth at Kaufman-Brand Open and fifth at Northern Open.
1999-2000 — recorded a 27-19 mark at Upper Iowa University.

Coach Lennon Inoa

Lennon InoaCoach Lennon is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown belt under Professor Jason D’ Agata and is currently coaching at Gracie Barra Trinity, assisting with Teens, Juniors, and Little Champions 2 classes. He began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2010. His passion for grappling was influenced during his service in the U.S. Army, where he learned Army combative, and eventually received his combative instructor certification. As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Coach Lennon was fortunate to travel throughout the U.S. and abroad and share experiences with knowledgeable Black Belts such as Professors Eduardo De Lima, Robson Moura, Mokoto Oga, and Jason D’Agata. He wishes to continue training this practice throughout his life while sharing how empowering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be on and off the mats.

Coach JoeCoach Joe is an instructor for both the Tiny Champions (ages 3- 5 ) & Future Champions (ages 6-16) kids programs. Coach Joe is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has been involved in training and teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for approx. 7 years. Coach Joe’s son Daniel is a student in our Tiny Champions class.
